Oops! Pay no attention to that little outburst!
Consider it a dip – a temporary low point in my faith walk, a valley in my self-control, a cul-de-sac in my ministry mindset, an obvious failure to bring every thought captive.
But Seth, you provoke me. You prod. You poke. You push. You see what I miss. And then you point it out! Worst of all, you make me have to think.
I'm complex, complicated, convoluted; you're simple, straightforward. I'm blurry; you're clear. I'm mediocre and half-baked. You? Well-done with succinct insight.
Will I never look at another sign, marquee, book, movie, statistic, church bulletin, mission statement, business plan or corporate communication in peace again?
Yes, worst of all, you make me have to think. And now I can't stop thinking. "Not that I'm blaming you, but it's all your fault". I'd like to see that on one of your signs.
And to add insult to injury, you do it with so few words. To a woman, that's even more infuriating.

Sorry, Cynthia.
I’ll try to do better!
A genuine apology from a large corporation works.
