What was I thinking?
Last week at The Digital Sanctuary, I posted a list of Media / Tech related conferences that are happening around the US in 2008. It's not a complete list. I just highlighted some of the more well-known (usually annual) conferences that happen throughout the year. I also planned to follow-up post some Media / Tech related conferences that are specifically designed to support churches & ministries in their use of technology.
As I began to compile my list, it hit me – what am I doing? I don't have time to compile an adequate list. I should crowdsource this project.
So, here's a first pass at a list of conferences I'm aware of. If you know of a conference that fits the Media / Technology / Church criteria, I'll add it to the list.

I will be at MinistryTECH are you planning on being there as well ? I was supposed togo to WorshipFX as well – but its too close to our babies due date.
So far the only one I’m officially going to is the Dynamic Church Conference (where I’ll present on New Media Values).
I’d like to go to the Biola Media Conference (Phil Cooke recommended it to me) because it’s within driving distance and just a 1 day event.
And GodblogCon – which I now see I left off the list
Check out ICCM at ICCM.gospelcom.net. They are focused on IT in a missionary environment and have been running for many years.

Another group that has emerged in recent years in the CITRT (Church Information Technology Roundtable). More info at http://citrt2008.com. This group met earlier this Spring immediately following MinistryTech.
Which of these conferences would give you the best bang for your buck?
Do you have an updated list for 2009? Our church is looking for an inexpensive church media seminar/conference to send a couple of people to. We are a small rural church and want to get into the 21st century!
