As a service to the attenders of “Leveraging Technology to Support Community” I am linking to the Leadership Network’s Digital Blog (of which I am a contributor) which includes this list of early Internet Campus adopters.  These links offer a variety of options across multiple denominations for viewing the current exploration of virtual church campus extensions.

Wow! Thank you so much for listing us among the list. We are so excited about what GOD’S doing THRU the Internet Campus. It just blows my mind how I’ve been able to get friends I grew up with, family I don’t live near, distance relatives from other countries….ALL together under one virtual roof to hang out with Him. It’s crazy and awesome. Great post. Thank you!

Thanks for posting the list, Cynthia! Looks like you had a great group there at the Willow group life conference, hope to hear more.

We’ll be hosting a free webinar on 11/12 about Internet campuses — for info and to get registered, scroll to the bottom of this blog post:

It is so cool to see that list grow! Glad to have others to share with who are working to use this tool for the glory of God.

Hey Cynthia,

One to add: beginning of 2007 I planted a church in Second Life. We now have 5 services a week, Bible study, discussion groups and hundreds of encounters each week. Membership is growing and just passed 500. For more info see: http://www.brownblog.info

PS I was interviewed on this church plant for Debra Brown’s workshop at IMC last wed
