Recently, at The Idea Camp in Southern California, I had the opportunity to interview a broad sweep of faith-based leaders including media producers, pastors, cultural architects, technologists, visionaries, CEO’s and other cross disciplinary innovators. It was a hugely collaborative & inspirational event so I’ll be archiving some of the videos here.
The following is one of the first interviews we did featuring multi-media producer Dan Portnoy. You can find Dan online through the preceding link or go directly to his Twitter stream @DanPortnoy.
If you are a church, non-profit, etc. and you would like to get your story told, Dan is a great person to connect with as a starting point.
Dan, you were so lucky to be early in the day…. after 10 or so interviews, I was completely giddy!
You can also check out more of The Idea Camp’s videos on The Idea Camp’s Vimeo Channel.
What do you think about visual story-telling and do you see video becoming more significant in the future? Do you anticipate indy-style user generated content or do you predict professionally produced content will be most accepted? According to one report “Pro Online Video Views 1998–2012” from AccuStream iMedia Research, they might be. The firm found that professionally produced online video grew nearly 25% last year, accounting for 41.6 billion views.

I am irresistably drawn to the Indie-syle videos and I love videos. I’ll listen to a video online just because it’s a video, especially if it’s on a website that carries content in my niche anyway, like DS.
