Over the past year I’ve been sent literally dozens and dozens of great books to read & review. Unfortunately for me, I’ve run out of time to get to all of them – and my office is overflowing. Furthermore, my reading is diluting this blog’s emphasis – the use of media technologies within the church.
So, this is the last book recommendation I’ll make for a while (although I’m indemnifying myself in case I decide to blog Phil Cooke’s The Last TV Evangelist in a few weeks!)
From Eternity to Here is the newest Frank Viola book. Here’s a link where Parable.com is offering From Eternity to Here at a substantial discount online this month (March). Frank was kind enough to send me a copy and I can wholeheartedly say it’s worth the read, a big picture, sweeping saga of the point and purpose of the gospel.
If you’d like to read a description, endorsements, and reader reviews of the book, you can do so here: http://www.FromEternitytoHere.org
And just so you know, some of the endorsements come from folks like: Ed Stetzer, Myles Monroe, Greg Boyd, Leonard Sweet, James Goll, Alan Hirsch, Shane Claiborne, Dan Kimball, Brian McLaren and more.
Then on Tuesday, April 7th, 2009 at 8:00 pm EST, Frank will be doing a special audio podcast where he will be answering your questions about the book – with a good dose of humor of course.
