I got the privilege of speaking a bit at The Sticky Church Conference in Chicago last Tuesday. Mary Beth Stockdale, a dear friend on the Suncrest Christian Church leadership team, hosted a Social Media breakout. In fact, a couple of other friends were invited via Tokbox including Tony Steward of Lifechurch.tv and DJ Chuang of Leadership Network.
Mary Beth did an excellent job hosting and we got to hear from Lead Pastor Greg Lee.
DJ, Tony & I talked about the validity of online relationships, their increasing importance, the communities that are birthed around technological connections, etc. I also gave an overview of the New Media values that are transforming our communications across institutions and we talked about the ramifications of these values on the Church. Here’s the virtual view.
All this to say, even though the event has past, there’s another on coming soon. May 11 in Atlanta Mountain Lake Church will host. Check out speakers Greg Surratt, Larry Osborne & Shawn Lovejoy.
