The Christian Web Conference last week at Biola University was part of the ongoing effort to educate interested parties about the trends, developments & predictions about faith-based organizations using the internet for ministry purposes.
Much more on the details of the conference later but here are a couple of quick photos. Tim Challies, author of what ranks as the number 1 Christian blog site (and a really nice guy), addressing some of the participants below….
And a shot of our discussion “The Future of Faith Online” which should be uploaded later in the week.

I know that here in Australia, churches simply don’t use the web as a means of ministry.
Sure a lot of them may have websites, but I don’t see too many of them embracing social media or blogging as a real tangible aspect of ministry.
I am always encouraging my pastor to use his twitter account, and I never see any of them on facebook, where a large portion of the church is spending a lot of their spare time these days
Look forward to the update.
Wow. I’m almost surprised to see that such a conference exists. Seems more ministries are catching on to the fact that the web really is a viable outreach platform.
