COMPANY, Alabama (WTVY) – Residents at the company will soon have a new way to pay their bills.
The city is about to unveil a self-service website.
For years, the City of Enterprise has used a third-party supplier to get residents to pay their water bills, but now things are changing.
“This will allow customers to go online, view their water bill,” said Jeremy Nagy, IT administrator, M4 Technology. “They can see their consumption history; they can sign up for automatic EFT payments at no cost. They can of course pay with their credit card, and they can sign up for paperless invoice delivery.
This new system, which will be managed by the city, is also used by Tuscaloosa, Mobile, Auburn and Fairhope.
“We reached out to them and got very good feedback from them,” Nagy added. “We also found comments from citizens online, where they were also very satisfied with the system. “
Tyler Technologies is also the creator of the city’s financial software.
“Thus, it calculates the late fees in real time and allows real time adjustments to the water department employees so that they can modify the bill in real time,” Nagy said.
The new site also allows citizens to see a breakdown of their consumption history with easy-to-use graphics so they can keep track.
“They can view all their previous bills online and see how their bill is broken down by water, sewer, garbage, taxes, etc. Nagy concluded.
The city expects the website to be active later this week.
The link to the website is HERE, but the final touches are still in progress before it goes live.
