BOSSIER CITY, Louisiana (KTAL / KMSS) – Parents at Airline High School received a message from the school on Friday urging them to speak to their children after a social media post hinting at a threat sparked concerns.
Airline manager Justin James messaged parents outlining what to do if someone must have a safety issue.
Dear Parents,
We want to address concerns about a social media post by a student alluding to a school shooting at Airline. The after-school administration was alerted to the post, law enforcement took immediate action and quickly determined the claim was not credible.
Remember, if you or your child sees or hears something, we want to know it. If there is a problem during school hours, please contact the school administration or one of our school resource officers. After hours, call 911. Please also encourage your child not to use social media as a forum to share these concerns.
The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority and we can assure you that we take any threats of which we become aware seriously.
Justin James, Director
