New Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez has taken to social media to send a message to fans who have criticized his recent departure from Benfica.
The young striker, who joined Jurgen Klopp’s Reds earlier this month, has already played twice on his new side’s pre-season tour.
In action against Manchester United earlier in the week, Nunez put in a particularly poor performance, and after missing a chance from around 10 yards out, the 23-year-old couldn’t prevent his new side from being beaten 4- 0 by their bitter rivals.
Introduced as a second-half substitute, Liverpool’s second friendly against Crystal Palace saw Nunez once again struggle to find the back of the net.

The Uruguay international’s disappointing start to life on Merseyside has seen an outpouring of fans take to social media to criticize his £67.5million move from Benfica.
However, in response to those fans saying Liverpool shouldn’t have signed him, the Reds’ new hitman wasted no time in sending his own message.
Writing on his official Twitter account, the former Benfica striker wrote ‘Resiliencia’ – which translates directly to ‘resilience’, following a ‘shh’ emoji.
