December 30

• A resident was allegedly the victim of fraud when a caller claiming to be with Wells Fargo asked the resident to change the resident’s Zelle account settings and transfer money using the new settings and new phone number . • A resident reported that after responding to a social media post looking for a personal assistant, the resident helped a person cash a check for $ 2,850 which was later reported stolen from a business in Montreal. • Christmas decorations were reportedly stolen from a garage on the 600 block of Washington Street.

• A bank account was allegedly fraudulently opened using a resident’s personal information.

December 21

• A check from the Township of New Trier was reportedly stolen, tampered with and cashed in the amount of $ 1,900.

December 20

• A mobile phone account was allegedly fraudulently opened in a resident’s name in December 2020.


December 21

• Items were reportedly stolen from a porch of a house between 2:30 pm and 5:40 pm in the 2000 block of Norfork Road. The declared value of the items is $ 90.
