Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will use a mobile app to select exam centers for the UP 2022 board exams. The mobile app will help authorities collect school geo-mapping data. The UP’s board of directors has set January 24 as the deadline for publishing the list of examination centers.

The data will need to be uploaded to the UP board app by a block-level group formed by a committee of government school principals. Downloads will be completed by December 2 and followed by a physical school check.

Once the verification process is completed by December 9, the respective district school inspectors will upload the list to the UPMSP website. A committee formed in each district by the respective district magistrates will certify the assessment list of schools in the selected center before handing it over to district school inspectors by December 27. The UPMSP also left a window open for handling complaints from school principals ahead of the final download on January 24, 2022.

The central assessment committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the director of education while the district-level committee is to be formed under the chairmanship of the district magistrate.

As every year, scoring for schools will be based on the facilities available in the school for the exam. The final selection will be made on the basis of a merit list prepared by checking the school’s performance in scoring facilities. In a scenario where two schools score equal, the one with more places for the exam will be preferred. Candidates will be assigned exam centers at a maximum distance of 10 km.

The UP board review had to be canceled this year following the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Marks were awarded on the basis of the candidate’s performance during the internal assessment and the previous class
