Uproar of the Personal Finance application in the latest ranking

What’s new with apps? Many changes are clearly evident in this latest edition of the PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Personal Finance Apps. It’s a sign of an economy on the move – it seems to be on the rise – as millions of savers download powerful apps designed to manage their money.

The Top 5

Call it a FinTech. Call it an app. Don’t call the No.1-ranked bank Chime, regulators insist, even though it has risen to the top of the PYMNTS provider rankings.

Position # 2 on the card is a three-way tie. Get out your pencils and dashboards.

Acorns Invest Spare Change jumped two spots to nab that No.2 position on the map, sharing it with Current (an astonishing increase of four spots) and the Stash app, up one spot from last month.

Remember, we’re only at # 2. Make your own pace.

Another noteworthy act of levitation can be found at # 3 as the Fidelity Investments app climbs four positions in the charts to land there this month.

Impressive, just like Albert Save And Spend Smarter, also floating up to four places to land at No.4.

Refreshing to see Mint Personal Finance & Money still # 5, closing this Top 5.

The Top 10

The success stories continue at the bottom of the top 10 personal finance app providers rankings, with some notable winners and a few new (or returning) apps to see.

At # 6 is Emma Budget Manager – yet another app jumping at least three whole positions in the chart above its most recent ranking. Another big winner at # 7 is the myWately Financial Wellness app, also up three spots from last month and firmly entrenched in the Top 10.

Tied scores and big winners made room for more apps in this leaderboard, so we’ve grouped 12 apps into a Top 10. I’ve been doing this a lot lately, and we expect to see more. Moreover. The competition is fierce.

New at # 8 this month is the Empower app. Back in the top 10 at # 9, Spendee Budget & Money Tracker takes # 9 with its expertise in digital portfolio management.

New to this ranking of personal finance app providers is Money Pro Personal Finance & Expense Tracker, which ranks 10th and ends this month’s ranking.
