WEST NEW YORK HOPE AND HEALING CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES NEW CONFERENCE WEB SITE AND CALENDAR


The virtual conference will focus on mental health and chemical addiction resources in Chautauqua County and region.

MAYVILLE, NY: – The Hope and Healing of Western New York (WNY) conference will be held virtually on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The online event will feature keynote speakers and educational webinars on mental health, chemical addiction, and other wellness topics available in Chautauqua County and our region, as well as community resources. This year’s conference will explore the theme “The Art of Hope and Healing”, focusing on self-care and creativity in prevention, treatment and recovery.

The Hope and Healing Planning Committee is pleased to announce the addition of a dedicated conference website this year. The website has been added to facilitate registration and display important event information, such as keynote speaker biographies and the conference program. The address of the site is www.hopeandhealingconference.com. The finalized conference program is now available there.

Hope & Healing of WNY will feature an international panel of esteemed speakers addressing the topic “Arts and Creativity in Addiction Prevention, Treatment and Recovery and Mental Health.” A panel of local experts will discuss prevention, treatment, harm reduction and recovery from mental health and addiction in Chautauqua County and Strong Starts Chautauqua will be presented by an additional panel of team members program support.

A conference favorite, the “FRED” Lectures, short and engaging presentations highlighting the art of hope and healing in Chautauqua County, will return this year. Other sessions on topics such as mindfulness, our local visitor’s office and vaping will complement the program.

This one-day conference is presented virtually and can be enjoyed from the comfort of your computer on June 10. The sessions will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and you can select which sessions you wish to attend. All day participation is not required. This event is free and open to the public, and registration is required.
