Official accessories are basic but functional on the new retro-style motorcycle FZ-X

The new Yamaha FZ-X has surely caught everyone’s attention with its neo-retro style. Priced at ₹ 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom), this is the most affordable retro-themed motorcycle on sale in India and shares its foundation with the familiar Yamaha FZ 150 series. Just days after On launch, Yamaha Motor India has listed all of the official accessories that will be available with the FZ-X and include items for aesthetic upgrades as well as increased convenience.

The Yamaha FZ-X accessory line starts from 300 for the seat cover with contrast stitching, additional padding and different color options. There are also fuel tank pads available for ₹ 400 which further add to the retro look but are functional and protect the fuel tank from unwarranted scratches when riding from the jacket or belt.

Optional chrome mirrors valued at 800 add to the retro theme, while customers can also purchase LED turn signals for 1490 for a set of two. To continue, the rear footrest can be added to the bike for 400, while the engine guard will cost you 800 .. Finally, Yamaha will sell you a bike cover worth 400 for for the FZ-X. All accessories will be available from authorized Yamaha dealers in India and customers can purchase from them.

When it comes to power, the new FZ-X uses the 149cc FI Blue core engine which develops around 12.4hp and 13.3Nm of maximum torque. The engine is associated with a 5-speed gearbox. The bike comes with a negative LCD console, projector lens headlights with DRL, an LED tail light and a Yamaha Connect app that brings a plethora of telematics data including riding stats. The new FZ-X rivals the Hero Xtreme 160, Suzuki Gixxer 155 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V in the segment.
